The pricing of your tattoo will vary based on the design, color, sizing, and placement of the tattoo.
The best way to find out the most accurate cost of your tattoo is to schedule a consultation appointment with the artist of your choice. Consultations are free, and it’s a chance for you to sit down with your artist and get on the same page. During your consultation, you will be able to discuss further about your idea with the artists, work out any issues, refine your idea, and let them know your vision more in detail. The artist will also be able to give you their recommendations on sizing, placement, content, and more based on your body and your budget! After the consultation, you can put down a deposit so that the artist can get started on your design and we will schedule your Design Check appointment and Tattoo appointments with you.
-
After your initial consultation with your artist, they will inform you the exact amount your total tattoo will cost and the required deposit, including any and all methods of payment available through Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
-
MJ receives bookings through email, Instagram DM, or the online option in the menu labelled “book with MJ.” Our other artists run their own schedules independently and can be reached through Instagram DM.
In case you’re not sure exactly which artist you’d like to book with, you can email us at info@azittnyc.com with your design idea and we can recommend you an artist that best fits your vision.
-
Due to our shop policy, artists DO NOT send the clients tattoo designs through phone/email. This decreases the risk of the artist's designs to be stolen or copied. Clients can come to the shop any time within 5 days prior to the date of the appointment to check their tattoo design, but just in case, be sure to notify us about your visit at least 24hrs beforehand. Artists can adjust the design to your satisfaction up until the moment they tattoo it onto your skin. Your satisfaction is our priority.
-
Prior to your tattoo appointment, make sure to get a good nights rest and to eat something substantial. (we don't want you fainting in the middle of your tattoo session).
Do not consume any alcohol or blood thinning medications (i.e. advil) in prior to your tattoo.

#1: IF YOU GOT TEGADERM BANDAGING, LEAVE IT ON FOR 3 DAYS
Leave the tegaderm on for 2 or 3 days - if the ink bleeds a little bit underneath the bandaging, don’t worry!
That’s normal. When it’s time to take the bandage off, gently wipe off the excess ink with a wet paper
towel, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of A&D ointment. If the skin around the tegaderm gets red or bumpy,
remove it immediately and continue with the aftercare process as normal.
#2: IF YOU GOT NORMAL PLASTIC WRAPPING WITH TAPE, LEAVE IT ON FOR 2-3 HOURS
Leave your bandage on for a minimum of 2-3 hours or overnight (we would rather you leave it on longer
as opposed to washing it in a dirty bathroom). DO NOT RE-BANDAGE unless you speak with us.
#3: WASH YOUR TATTOO WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP
Lightly wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and antibacterial soap (unscented). DO NOT SUBMERGE.
#4: PAT DRY WITH A CLEAN PAPER TOWEL
Pat dry with a clean paper towel and let air dry for 10-15 minutes before applying aftercare.
#5: APPLY A THIN LAYER OF A&D OINTMENT
Apply a thin layer of A&D ointment (which was given to you in the shop) on the skin to the point where it
just barely looks moist. Use ointment for the first 3 days, then switch to an unscented body lotion for 1-2
weeks. Make sure to use a fragrance-free lotion since chemical additives can irritate your tattoo.
#6: AS YOU HEAL
Your tattoo will peel like a sunburn after a few days; it is normal to see colored flakes of skin shedding. If it
does scab in a few areas, this is nothing to worry about, just let them fall off on their own. DO NOT
SCRATCH OR PICK AT THEM and DO NOT over saturate them in the shower. This could soften them up
too much and cause them to come off prematurely, which will leave blank spots that will need touching
up. DURING THE HEALING PROCESS stay out of the sun, pools, jacuzzis, ocean, etc. - NO SOAKING
IN WATER OF ANY KIND!
#7: AFTER YOUR TATTOO IS HEALED
Use sunblock after your tattoo is healed to keep it looking new longer. After you are all healed (usually
about 4 weeks) stop in and say hello so the artist can see if it needs to be touched up and to get a healed
portfolio picture. We typically require that you wait at least 4 weeks for the tattoo to heal completely before
we do a touchup. Free touch ups are offered within 6 months of the initial tattoo - after 6 months, there will
be a $100 touch up fee. High motion areas such as hands, fingers, feet, etc. are not guaranteed, and can
fade within 2-3 weeks. They are also subject to a $100 touch up fee.
